There are always opportunities to volunteer in person, whether it's through helping at the shelter, at a fundraising event, or helping to do some of the laundry for our furry friends, allowing us more time to provide the medical care they need. Become a Pet Foster Parent
We are always looking for amazing Pet Foster Parents to help care for our patients, whether they have medical needs or not. Animals typically behave better and heal better in home environments, with someone around to love on them throughout the day and night. Submit a foster application now!

Pets need stuff, too!
Pet owners understand the cost associated with caring for pets. They need medical care: vaccinations, parasite prevention (flea/tick/heartworm, etc.) and sometimes diagnostic testing and invasive medical care. They need food, toys, beds, litter boxes and potty pads. Animals need these things to help keep them happy and healthy.
It all adds up far too quickly.
Shelters and rescues deal with these financial challenges every day. Regardless of whether our economy is up or down, abandoned and lost pets who have found their way to our shelter need the continued generosity of others for food, shelter and medical care.

"Fix-a-Family" Program
This program helps families who need assistance with a pregnant dog (and sometimes even cats), or mom with a litter. They help provide medical care to mom and pups while the babies grow. Once the puppies are weaned, Pawsitive Hope fixes the mom (and dad dog if he's around) for free,and give them back to owners. The puppies are surrendered into the rescue where they are vaccinated, dewormed, given flea preventative, microchipped, spay/neutered.
Then the process begins to find their furever home. You can support the Fix-a-Family program when you purchase any of the products listed on the Bonfire page shared with Pawsitive Ohio.
Ohio Pet Fund
You can help fund rescue activities in Ohio by selecting a pet, dog or cat license plate when renewing your vehicle registration tags. Selection of an Ohio pet license plate funds education, spay/neuter of pets for low-income families and for dogs and cats adopted from qualifying shelters and non-profit rescues and humane societies.
